After many painstaking months of working out a look that has suited my new vision, I decided to go through my Colombian Joy images and edit accordingly. I am pleased to say that I am super proud of this set. Go check it out HERE.

As well, within the coming weeks I will be updating my Qwanoes set with new 2008 images. There there will also be in addition to Kaleo 07/08 set a Kaleo 08/09 set being added and contributed consistently over the next 8 months. It’s never a dull moment around here. Tell your friends, call a loved one, yell it from the street corners, Jordan’s got his game on!

Tonight I was busying myself with whatever it is that I do here and I began to rethink my visual vision. A vision that goes from the point I take the picture to the point of exporting out of LR after edits. Over the past couple of years my vision and my taste for feeling in an image have changed. And I feel that I have begun a bit of a new journey in my visual vision.

Over the year my love for the black and white image has grown immensely. Although what has fallen behind is how I express mood, texture, grit, and feeling through my color images. So this evening I began to dig deep into the recesses of my mind and began to re-think how I use color in my images. Let’s call this the moment I’ve hit my creative adolescence. So what’s happened so far on the journey?

It has now gone from a surrealistic saturated, contrasty feel to a new muted but crisp clear, well defined with feeling, texture and for lack of a better word - taste. I find it more matches my vision, my minds eye with you will. Allowing the viewer to be less overwhelmed by color and more moved by purpose of the images content.

Anyone else out there been through a similar process? I’d love to hear how your journey is going.
