Gearing Up for Summer

As Kaleo winds down (only three days left), my sights are now slowly being set ahead towards the Summer. For the past two years I have been working during the summer for Qwanoes as their photographer and once again I will be offering my services to them. Along with this endeavor comes the chance to focus completely on my photography. Which is so exciting! The summer brings the chance for me to shoot sixteen hours a day, seven days a week for two months. Just imagine that learning curve, now picture it at a 75 degree angle.
But along with shooting that much comes other responsibilities, the responsibility to be completely focused on telling the stories of the campers and staff in a new and imaginative way. Which can be very difficult at times. Some days you come in and realize that you weren’t creative all day. But other days it can be the most rewarding experience.
Stay tuned in the coming months to see what was captured from the summer! I have a good feeling about this summer, the creativity is building.

Woke up this morning after taking a very long sleep, opened my news reader and found out that Adobe has beta released LR 2.0.

So far this release has some nice new features. The interface is a bit sleeker and cleaned up and print module has undergone some much needed improvements. It now features a “Picture Package” option, very similar to what is in PS CS3. The develop module now has localized adjustments, clarity has undergone some changes and vignette now works in post crop.
The beta is open to all owners of Lightroom. Just be warned, it is BETA.
